Poncet is trained as a mosaic artist and muralist artist, having graduated with BA of Arts at Sorbonne (Paris I and Paris III) University, France. Consequently, her practice is strongly influenced by contemporary art and distinguished by the ability to work with different media such as mosaics, painting, drawing, and wearable art.
Her œuvre is characterized by her particular visual language based on conceptual thinking. Poncet is renowned for her murals and mosaics exploring the three fundamental components of human nature – mind, emotion and spirit. Her art is strongly influenced by symbolism, post-conceptualism, existentialism, as well as a consistent search for the iconic representation of life.
Poncet has worked for the United Nations Women’s Guild in New York, USA, the oldest United Nations charity organization. The French artist has participated in exhibitions in the USA, France, the Netherlands, Germany and features in national and international private collections as well as the collection of the United Nations Women’s Guild at the United Nations in New York. Poncet has lived and worked in several European countries, USA and Russia.
